Research has linked eating nuts with higher levels Seratonin, which decreases your appetite and could help you beat that stubborn belly fat.
Researchers from the University of Barcelona found that one ounce of raw and un-peeled walnuts; almonds and hazelnuts a day could enhance happiness and help improve heart health.
Cristina Andris-Lacueva who led the research stated that “an increased excretion of Seratonin metabolites was associated for the first time with nut consumption.” This was also supported by the Human Nutrition Unit of the Rovira I Virgili University.
A previous study by the United States Department of Agriculture also found that pistachios can help in weight loss and facilitate a healthy heart.
David Baer who led the research said “pistachios convey a variety of health benefits, including weight management support and cardiovascular facilitation.”
Published in the British Journal of Nutrition he added that findings contradict the common misperception that nuts should be excluded from a daily diet due to calorie intake.
